John C. Pitsenberger
Chief Financial Officer
John Pitsenberger is the Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of ViaPath Technologies. In this role, he oversees all financial activities of the company, including accounting, financial reporting, planning and analysis, pricing, treasury, and tax as well as the contracts and procurement functions.
Pitsenberger joined ViaPath Technologies in August 2018 after serving as the Executive Vice President and CFO at Peraton, a private equity-backed government contractor with annual revenues of $1 billion. While at Peraton, a carved-out business divested from Harris Corporation, he was responsible for rapidly establishing the company’s financial infrastructure in order to exit a transition services agreement (TSA). In this role, he led various functions within the organization including planning and analysis, strategic pricing, facilities, accounting, and tax. He was also the financial lead for a strategic process involving multiple bidders which culminated in the successful sale of the company to KeyW.
Pitsenberger began his career at Beers & Cutler, PLLC, a public accounting firm based in Washington, D.C. From that beginning, he saw a career that took him through a variety of roles with ever-increasing levels of responsibility and leadership including assistant controller, controller, and vice president of finance at publicly traded and private equity-backed companies including American Management Systems (now CGI), Deltek, Apptis, and Iron Bow Technologies.
Pitsenberger received his Bachelor of Science in accounting from the University of Maryland, College Park and is a licensed Certified Public Accountant in the state of Maryland. He is also a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
