Rick White
Chief Operations Officer
Rick White is the Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of ViaPath Technologies. In this role, he is responsible for the company’s day to day operations. Rick joined ViaPath Technologies in November 2019 as the EVP for Enterprise Systems and assumed the position of Chief Operating Officer in January 2022.
As the COO he is responsible for the entire lifecycle of ViaPath Technologies’ services. His organization provides these services to a diverse customer base that includes federal, state and local facilities, incarcerated personnel, their friends and family as well as ViaPath employees and internal business services. White and his team provide world-class service in the areas of solution design and deployment, operations and maintenance, technical support, call center operations, supply chain management, business information systems, and information security.
White is a retired U.S. Navy Captain with more than 45 years of technical leadership and management experience. He is a proven professional in developing, leading, and managing professional-service offerings in cybersecurity, next generation information technology, business intelligence and data analytics, and performance-based management solutions for multiple clients in the federal government. White is the former CTO/CIO for Sotera Defense Solutions where he concurrently managed a portfolio of data science projects for the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency and the Intelligence Advanced Research Projects Activity. Prior to Sotera he was a GM and CTO for Wyle Information Systems which was preceded by time as a Managing VP for Gartner Consulting.
White is a 1975 graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy and completed his Master of Science in information technology in 1999 from Central Michigan University. He is also a graduate of the National Defense University CIO program and holds a certificate in Artificial Intelligence in Business Applications from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
