Connecting people with opportunities
Because we believe so strongly in supporting successful reentry, in 2022 ViaPath launched our wholly owned subsidiary, 2C Workforce Solutions . 2C is focused on connecting people with opportunities to make a difference. Our motivation is to make impactful changes to the lives of our candidates, our business partners and employers, and the communities to which we support. At 2C, we believe that every job applicant – including those impacted by the criminal justice system – deserves a chance to succeed.
What we do
We help our community of employers to be open-minded in their hiring practices and consider each candidate and their circumstances when making hiring decisions.
According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, there are almost two job openings for every available worker in the US right now.
Expanding hiring practices to include citizens returning from prison and other justice-involved workers helps alleviate persistent workforce shortages. Returning citizens who’ve benefited from education, vocational training, and mental health programs while incarcerated or as part of a reentry program are qualified, enthusiastic employees.
SHRM surveys show that 82% of managers think that the value new employees with criminal records bring to the organization is as high as or higher than that of workers without records.
